Today EyeComTec announced immediate availability of an upgraded ECTkeyboard - newly developed accessibility software that allows typing lengthy texts by pressing a single button.

This update offers support for different localizations around the world and the new translated interface is available in French, Spanish, German, Russian and Chinese.

The main feature of the ECTkeyboard is that texting is controlled by pressing one button and utilizing different modes of data entry via a process called scanning. When opened, the user will see symbols on the screen that are fully customizable and can represent various letters or messages, depending on the mode that the user chooses to operate in. The variety of input modes give ECTkeyboard an advantage over other, similar software.

When used in conjunction with eye tracking applications like the ECTtracker, enables those with reduced motor skills to type letter by letter with ease and greater effectiveness than any other software suite available with only eye-blinking.

The upgraded ECTkeyboard has an easy-to-use interface with a multitude of customizable settings that offers the end user the comfort and convenience of reduced fatigue, a more relaxed work pace and optimum comfort and support.

The best part is that all of this is still offered free of charge! Anyone may simply download the latest version of ECTkeyboard from http://www.eyecomtec.com/ECTkeyboard.zip and begin to use it. The ECTkeyboard program doesn't require installation, doesn't make any changes to your system, and it can work from any USB-stick!

EyeComTec strives to be the innovator in accessibility software, so naturally they are already looking forward to future upgrades, where they will be bringing new versions of the ECTkeyboard including specialized versions for illiterates and national alphabets as well.

EyeComTec has also responded to user needs for some form of social networks - in spring of 2014 the company started a study to find the best matching platform. Working prototypes are already showing how a text typed by the user with the ECTkeyboard can be sent to a network, published on web portals, and be read by authorized relatives and friends.
